Prof. Vontas, was one of the plenary speakers at the 9th Molecular Insect Science Conference, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 27-29 April 2026. During the session “Molecular Insights into Insecticide Resistance and Sustainable Management”, he delivered a presentation entitled “Functional Approaches for Elucidating Insecticide Resistance Mechanisms”, highlighting recent advances in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying insecticide resistance and their relevance to the objectives of the MicroBioPest project.
